Course overview:

There is a difference between being a leader and being a manager, but the best managers are also great leaders who motivate and engage others, connecting people with vision. This course strengthens core leadership skills and will also help participants identify ways to continually improve over time.

When you first become a leader, you experience many subtle and not-so-subtle changes in your authority, responsibility and status. However, along with the excitement may come unknown challenges. Effective leadership requires balancing different views and adapting your management style to suit the situation.

This introductory course will help you get the balance right.

Structure:

The day is broken down into three main components. The first is understanding self with the inclusion of a Myers Briggs Type (16 Personalities) personality assessment and 500 page report for each participant. The next component is about understanding what leadership and strategy really means. The third component provides tools to assist in high performance, change management, creative thinking and action planning. This session is highly energetic and engaging for any frontline or aspiring frontline manager.

Format:

One-day course, led by a specialist facilitator encompassing group and individual activities. Workbooks and resources will be supplied including the participants 500 page PDF personality profile report.

One day, minimum five (5) participants.
